Bleeding Heart flower as you may know is a dainty little pink and white heart shape with a drop falling from it causing it to look as if it were bleeding. It is easy to see and feel how this essence is known for soothing heartache and grief. The repetition of the strand of hearts speaks to its ability to work with and break unhealthy patterns, both ours and that of our ancestors that have been carried on. It is said to gently heal the broken heart by introducing kindness and unconditional love. Cultivating self love is another key component and power this essence holds. Bleeding Heart essence can help bring calm during shock or trauma and is a powerful force for those in deep grief. This essence has a strong heart and crown chakra influence, bringing them into alignment and encouraging empowered living.
I feel a strong mother connection with this essence as well. I feel the love of our mothers in Spirit is part of the healing it offers. As I connect with the Bleeding Heart energies I have to say it has the potential to bring us to a space of loving ourselves the way our mothers would have us be loved. This essence also brings healing to those on the other side who’s patterns we are still ourselves healing from.

Oh the drama this flower gave me in bringing this essence to life. It was actually the first plant to call me to it. I have a bush that is about 5 or 6 years old and had lots of flowers and when I asked I got permission. The first group of essences were created with the new moon and northern lights energy at the beginning of May and I was so excited about this one. But the morning after it staying out all night with the new moon when I muscle tested it gave me a huge NO. I argued, as you may know I tend to do, no was the final answer and I had to dump the jar. I wanted this essence so bad that I tried again thinking it needed the sunlight instead of moonlight and so I asked for permission again and the plant was eager to work with me so I tried and again after some hours in the sunlight and new moon energy when I muscle tested I got a big ole NO and sadly dumped out another jar. 2 weeks later when the moon was full I noticed the massive bush of Bleeding Hearts still in bloom at my parent’s house and since mine were no longer blooming I decided to ask for permission from my Mom’s plant and it said yes eagerly. After a night in the energy of the full moon I finally got a solid YES when muscle testing.
